The Quantum Interface Engine - powering predictive user interfaces by determining the user’s intent in real-time

Our Quantum Interface Engine (QIE) spatial interface – the only one of its kind - represents a significant departure from traditional user interfaces. Our proprietary system uses vector and arcuate analysis of the user’s actions in real time, incorporating physics and mathematics to predict user intent moment by moment. Objects (content, media, text, data, attributes, etc.) within the system respond to the user’s intent dynamically and fluidly in real time. The relationship between the user and objects is quantified as the Dynamic Confidence™ of the user.

The core of this technology is the groundbreaking Quantum Interface Engine (QIE), a 3-part software system that:

  1. Predicts user intent through a motion analysis of sensor inputs (mouse, touch, touchless, gaze)
  2. Gives content the ability to respond to that predicted input through a relational feedback loop,
  3. Controls the relationship between these parts by using a probabilistic dynamic confidence derived from the physics of the user input  - thus creating a “Quantum” Interface.

A true multi-modal interface

As a vector-based, spatial UI, Quantum Interface works equally well across all major UI modalities: Mouse, Touch, Gesture, Gaze, in both 2D and 3D screen-based and physical environments.

Mouse

On the Desktop, Quantum Interface brings a new paradigm to traditional mouse-driven GUIs, unlocking hierarchical menu systems into a faster and more efficient way to traverse menu tree structures and engage with systems content.

Touch

Quantum Interface works with touch in a new way, that is flow-based, allowing the user to fluidly move through a menu tree while maintaining presence and context, rather than ‘tap, tap, tapping’ through hierarchical menu systems and losing continuity.

Gesture

As a spatial extension of touch, Quantum Interface works equally well with gesture controls, again providing a continuity of flow that allows the user to interact smoothly with content at a distance.

Eye tracking

As a vector-based interface, the Quantum Interface Engine naturally performs well as a gaze-based interface, using the eyes as a pointer using eye tracking systems. Gaze combines with gesture to create touchless interfaces that work at a distance, or where physical touch is not desired due to environmental or contextual limitations.

Virtual Reality

At it’s heart, the Quantum Interface Engine is a spatial interface, and so, it is a natural fit for VR environments, providing a fluid and natural way to interact with 3D objects and controls.
